It’s the totalitarianism. It’s the drug of both the Muslims and the Left.
In the end, when they both “win,” each plans on killing the other off.
Then, the winner will execute all of their own internal dissenters. That will take awhile, until they’ve exterminated themselves completely. The last Leftist or Muslim, will kill the other last Leftist or Muslim, for not being pure enough.

I agree but I think it applies to all groups that adhere to a strict dogma with a central authority figure.
The problem being, is that leftists think that they will win.
If American kook-liberals are successful in eliminating any Christian conservative power, they will be easy pickings for the battle hardened, take no prisoner Islamists.
Liberals will be FIRST against the firing squad wall.
I cannot believe that they are so stupid as to not realize that.
Then again, history continues to repeat itself.
When I was little, I asked my dad, "Why did communists and Nazis kill all of the "intellectuals"? Wouldn't they want to have the smartest people on their side?"
My dad would tell me that it's because they didn't want "smart folks" figuring out what was going on and put a stop to it."
I love my dad, but boy was he wrong.
The leftist intellectuals will be the first to support Sharia law.
They might come to an understanding of "what's going on" at the moment they are having their throats cut.
