Look at who is fundraising for refugees while using a phony narrative

From his wikipedia page (which needs updating since that election has since passed):

Shayan Modarres (born May 15, 1984) is a civil rights activist and attorney in Orlando, Florida. He is originally from the Washington, D.C./Maryland metropolitan area. He has assisted in the representation of the family of Trayvon Martin since 2012. He is currently a Democratic candidate for United States House of Representatives for Florida's 10th Congressional District.

From his facebook page:

This emotional narrative along with the photo has been going viral on facebook. Only thing is that the guy is an Iraqi. Not a Syrian. He has been living in Turkey when he, among others, decided to take his family with him on an inflatable raft to the Greek island of Kos. About 2 hours into the journey, their raft deflated and they went into the water. Luckily they survived. His eventual destination after arriving in Greece was Germany. He succeeded. He is living in Berlin today.

The New York Times was the one who mistakenly listed him as Syrian. They corrected themselves, but still this photo with the phony story lives on.

To be fair, the narrative (in between his links, up until "if that were you"), isn't his. It was written by someone else. He is just one of many who thought it was true and shared it.

He has since been informed of the false description. (His response: "In the time it took for you to send me that, you could have donated a few dollars to help get these families some blankets and clean water. I thank you for the clarification, but if you read my post I said "refugee families like this one." I hope you'll make a small contribution to this cause. Thanks"). But he hasn't edited his post to reflect the truth. As of this writing it remains as is. So he has crossed the line from honest mistake to intentional dishonesty.

So he has crossed the line from honest mistake to intentional dishonesty.

Making him the well qualified to be a democrat representative to the House.

Were you expecting something other than dishonesty from a Democrat?

He “studied” at Florida A&M. In other words, he did not graduate.

But, but, but he says he’s a trial attorney.

Look at these photos. All of these people were killed by illegal immigrants and are just a small sample of the people murdered by them every year. Instead of just one man crying whole families are crying. So send a donation to: Stop Illegal Amnesty and the Refugee Posers Foundation P.O. Box 1234 Houston, TX 12345 Or send a a donation to fight against illegal immigration to The Remembrance Project link below instead of to a Hispanic attorney that's pandering to the plight of illegal aliens as a marketing ploy and most likely pocketing most, if not all of it: https://secure.piryx.com/donate/sTKdwnOQ/Maria-Espinoza/

Some background info on the Modarres family. Because Iranian families are he may just a shoot off of any one of branches but with a high profile name like this-Shayan is living rent free in his own head

here’s some interesting links& whether it is one “s” or two “s’s” it’s the same family

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hassan_Modarres

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modares_Expressway

http://www.modares.ac.ir/en

Modaress can also be found in this article on
this very excellent website

http://publishing.cdlib.org/ucpressebooks/view?docId=ft3s2005jq&chunk.id=d0e341&toc.id=d0e341&brand=ucpress

lots of names & dates of killings on this link & Modaress is found here, too.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/tehranbureau/2011/01/the-chain-murders-killing-dissidents-and-intellectuals-1988-1998.html

Family names and heritage all have a place in iranian much as many other cultures and a name like Modaress it sticks out like a sore thumb if one is clued into all of that stuff. It’s sorta like being a Kennedy in Iran.

Shayan Modaress may be a small shoot on a large branch of quite a big tree may be completely irreligious and there are branches of Iranian families who are religious & those who are not-these are large large extended families, too & very clannish& almost a Mafia-like structure even in these very large extended families-&-they all have each other’s back. Young males in this type of group act out PAST youth , run wild, smoke the nargila, have bangin’ parties w/alcohol & girls and basically drive themselves into the ground by pushing ALL the boundaries to the very limit-yet all under the watchful eyes of mummy & papa.f

If a young buck gets a girl pregnant the two are either married off quickly (with eventualy a quick divorces later) or along with other reprehensible behavior that is not
accepted by the family they will basically “deport” him & let him make his own way in the world until he cleans up his act & eventually return to the family fold & not w/o braggadocio either.

here’s a wiki entry for Shayan Modarres

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shayan_Modarres

as to what extent the truth of thie wiki entry I do not
know but his Papa & Mummy left Iran in the 70’s so you figure Shayan was born here in the US.

I’m not saying he is good person but his integrity remains to be seen .Imho he’s a dirty filthy shyster & it’s sad he’s come to this at such a young age.
