Indeed, there are cases where a paternity test proved the sap paying child support was NOT the biological father, he still had to pay, though...

Bio-dads never have to pay child support for an adopted child. When there is a baby on the way, talking about marriage down the road is NOT a good indicator that the child will be in a stable household with a mother and a father. Adoptive families can (and do) supply that.
