When Lucas is right he’s really right, and when he’s wrong he’s really wrong. That’s not unusual for movie guys, and in his case it’s worked out financially well for him.

She’s from Kentucky. Has a wonderful family and seems to have a ton of morals. Moreso then many here.

Agreed. That was the point SW went from solid Sci-Fi to 12 year old comic book status.

They never have had the 6 foot green rabbit character from the original Marvel comic series that picked up where the movie left off.

Disagree. It was when the ewoks showed up. Jar Jar just put the final nail in the coffin so to speak. That said the whole thing was aimed at a juvenile audience which was what the old time serials were as well. I know there were a lot of other influences but the direct reference at the beginning was always the old time serials. Flash Gordon being the most obvious.

That said some juvenalia is more palatable than others. Yoda for some reason adults could take while Jar Jar just needed to remain in his home under the water.

Many moons ago, the Rolling Stones infamous “Altamont” free concert was caught on film.

The credited camera operators for Altamont included a young George Lucas whose camera jammed after shooting about 100 feet of film. None of his footage was incorporated into the final cut.
