I am absolutely NOT a “dog person,” but I was “friends” for 8 years with George, a black Belgian Shepherd. Loyal to a fault, tough as nails, and feared nothing.

I am a dog person; 7 in my pack currently, every one of them loyal, brave, and protective.
There is no doubt in my mind that they would all give their lives freely for me.
All loving and generous (except when it comes to wienies), and willing to protect the property and the family with their lives if necessary.
