The ‘Perfect’ Location

I have been reading more and more lately, articles with the theme of having a ‘Perfect Bug In Location’, along with details on how to defend it, options and examples on booby traps, philosophy of defense and similar. It’s a fascinating discussion with lot of interesting points, and it gave me the idea to share some thoughts of mine. - See more at: http://shtfschool.com/security/finding-the-perfect-location/#sthash.lt9KffsZ.dpuf

We possible my preference is to shelter in place. Also look around they are always out of the way nooks and crannies in out of the way neighbor hoods. I call them 'Grey' builds, places people drive by and never really notice that they are there.

The best location is at the dead end of a dirt road miles and miles from any interstate or major highway. The golden hordes will migrate along lines of least resistance once the cities fall and they’re not likely to go that far down a road that doesn’t look like it’ll have large communities and resources to loot. You don’t have to shoot what doesn’t show up on your doorstep.

OK for you. Not so much for us. We’re old. I take meds that
make me stumble around dizzy at night getting to the
bathroom. I’d walk off the boat while sleep walking &
hitting the cold water would bring on urination pretty
quickly!

Sure, there has never been an ambush set for boats on a river.
