My only mother-in-law was a psychotic alcoholic and pure evil. I always thought of that song when I saw her.

Seriously, though, I am sorry to hear that.
I have had a great mother-in-law for 39 years.
I always tell her she is my favorite mother-in-law.
She always answers “I’m your ONLY mother-in-law”.
Still sharp in her mid-80s.

Did she think her advice was the Constitution?

Toussant's
Fortune Teller was a hit for Benny Spellman in the early months of 1962. At the same time, Bobby Curtola charted with a totally different song, also entitled
Fortune Teller. This may be the only time in which two different songs with the same title were on the charts.

You sure that song was Mother-in-Law and not Obama?

Interestingly, neither Allen Toussaint, who wrote “Working in a Coal Mine,” nor Lee Dorsey, who made it popular, ever worked in a coal mine.

Never heard “ Sneakin Sally through the Alley” by Robert Palmer? He wrote that and many other classics.
