When I got out I spent about 9 or 10 months mining and panning gold from the Canadian boarder to southern California.
Didn’t find enough gold to pay for bacon and beans; but got a lot of peace and quiet, got enough down time to get my head straight.
Hit So. Cal. and decided it was time to go out and get a real job, bank account was getting pretty low.
Went back to work, got married, had kids, got kids through college, now I am just a retired dumb old farmer.
Life is good, but you have to work for it.

Well, what’s the author’s name, and the title of the paper?

This was mostly Nam veterans you are correct about the victims problem.
Even worse - I helped start up my local VVA and after about 6 months I quit.
I had discovered that the vast majority of those doing the most whining and pulling the old "poor me" routine weren't even 'Nam vets.
How the hell do you have an organization calling itself the Vietnam Veterans of America, but don't require service in VN? That's stolen valor as far as I'm concerned.
To this day, I refuse to support them in any way.

Powerful post. Flushed out my ducts. Love those labs and most all breeds for that matter - no ankle bitters.

Herbal Therapy in Post-Traumatic Stress by Eric Elliott. It was originally posted Novemver 2014. I found it in September this year. I did find a Facebook post from October where someone was asking why the link was broken, but no response. They have removed it for some reason.

I would love to know who wrote these words for Capt. Picard to say:
"Some creatures have the capacity to fill spaces we never knew were empty."
So true and it was from that Springer filled space came such a massive overflow when I read about Honor; about and for him, for my two now and for all I've been blessed to have in my life so far.

Thank you, Dear Lord in Heaven, for these beautiful gifts.

I am grateful for the ways they reveal and demonstrate Your Love for us and how we are to love You.

When I set out into the real world, I was sheltered by the WWII and Korea vets, and they were everywhere. When I retired (IIRC) there was ONE VETERAN left in the building.

Too many vignettes to get into but there were some really lonely times between '75 and yesterday.

I know a woman vet, staff personnel type, who claims PTSD for sexual harassment. Now she’s retired, drawing disability and VA for rape, although she wasn’t raped. She uses the PTSD as an excuse to keep from holding a job for any length of time. It’s despicable.
