Maybe it's a bit early for a live thread but I think that was Trump's motorcade that just pulled into Rockefeller Center.
Yes, I'm a manic. On standby hoping to get tickets to the show or at least to the 8:00pm rehearsal. I never normally do this sort of thing but it's a nice balmy windy November day in the city and I fueled up with a huge breakfast at Scotty's Diner and I have a flask with some Jack Daniels just in case. Haven't dipped into it yet.
This could be a historic Saturday Night Live. If I don't get in, at least I'll see the show in my room at the Renaissance in Times Square.
Hope you get in. It should be a hoot.

See any protesters yet or is it too early in the manana? Can you imagine in another country, like my second home Switzerland, a bunch of people from a foreign land protesting anything, that it’s not good for THEIR citizens??? It’s unimaginable. I do not want homeless men coming into my house and eating my food and using my stuff. And it doesn’t make me racist either. Ask any protester for their car keys; say that while they are hanging out with their Racist signs, you’re just gonna drive to get something to eat, visit a friend. Hmmm. I wonder if they will hand them over. What do you think??

you know what Trump should do?? this group is offering $5000 to anyone who yells out “TRUMP IS A RACIST” so Trump should make a joke about it during his monologue- have everyone in the audience stand up during the monologue and all yell “TRUMP IS A RACIST” then Trump should demand the group pay everyone $5000/each!!!
Maybe they’ll do a take off of that repulsive kids ad using the Obama and Hillary look alikes to spoof it.

TRUMP
An MSNBC Democrat debate--only in the form of Celebrity Apprentice. Have Trump in the boardroom, with Maddow, Matthews reluctantly part of the board. At the end,have the NEW host, Arnold, make an appearance. Maybe he is screaming "Livefromnewyorkitdssattadaynightlive!"
What I think is going to happen:
1. Look for possible half-hearted performances from the more vocal/political members of the audience.
2: Watch the closing credits--see who stands near him,and see who stands away from him...
3. Look for a possible protest from the musical guest, Sia--although I don't see her as being political, and we will not have a repeat of Sinead O' Connor or Steve Forbes/Rage Against The Machine this time around.
4. If the show is political at all, look for more Republican basing than democrat bashing...
5. Look for passive agressive, cowardly trump and Republican attacks in the Weakend Update.
6.Most of all, if you are expecting SNL of old, or something hilarious. be VERY disappointed. Look for rewrites/recycling of sketches they have done 1,2,3,4 times before. Game show parodies, etc. The show has really become bad over the last 10 years.
My wife and I were talking about SNL this morning. If I were writing I would have someone stand up and shout “I love you Trump” as soon as the crowd calms down for the monologue. Then have Trump call someone over, give them $100 and tell them to give it to the person who yelled.
Then when they gave it to the person, the audience member says, “Hey the other guys would give me $5k to call you a racist.” And then he says, “You’re cheap.”
It would diffuse the whole thing.
Can you put it on the save battery setting? It really Helps to stop the drain :o
