The factory stuff always seems to be the best.Plus,those Stihl engines are so well built that you could make a career out of trying to wear one out.
If the manufacturer says “use synthetic oil”, use synthetic oil. It’s probably not necessary to use their brand, but certainly use the recommended type. They probably also give a specification for the oil. Use only ones that have that specification written on the bottle.

Believe TW3 or TW anything is for water cooled and thats what the NAPA guy sold me.
Its next to the beer store so I will go back soon and return it and give him a heads up.
