This could be huge for a great many industries, not only for the energy savings, which are substantial, but artists and inventors can now make glass shapes for many different uses and abstract forms...........................

If there is any interaction between this field effect and the ion exchange process for strengthening glass (”Gorilla Glass”) it could have significant implications for certain companies.

I took a glass blowing class once. I soon learned that glass that is red hot is only a few degrees hotter than clear glass. And the clear glass at that temperature looks just like cold glass — but it isn’t. Lost most of my fingerprints during that class. But they grew back.
