Carto was never a person for publicity , he was a behind the scene person who inherited tens of millions dollars from his parents and used it all to prop up holocaust denial groups
I don't think he's had much of an impact in America, at least where the baby boomer generation is concerned.
There is a fringe of holocaust deniers everywhere, and probably always will be. Anti-Semitism seems to be a permanent part of the human condition, like jealousy and envy, to which it is closely related.
