Cruz's greatest insight overlooked [vanity]
Self

Posted on 10/29/2015 11:53:33 AM PDT by ctdonath2

Amid all the uproar about Cruz's out-of-the-park "this is not a cage match" comments, everyone is overlooking the elephant-in-the-living-room.

"The Democratic debate ... reflected a debate between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks." - Ted Cruz
So, being on a define-that-word spree this week for no apparent reason, I looked up the terms on Wikipedia. Oh, sure, I know what they are...well, a bit weak on "Mensheviks"...ok, let's review the definitions.

O.
M.
G.

Mensheviks - The Mensheviks subscribed to an Orthodox Marxist view of social and economic development, believing that socialism could not be achieved in Russia due to its backward economic conditions, and that Russia would first have to experience a bourgeois revolution and go through a capitalist stage of development before socialism was technically possible and before the working class could develop the necessary consciousness for a socialist revolution.

Bolsheviks - workers under a democratic internal hierarchy governed by the principle of democratic centralism, who considered themselves the leaders of the revolutionary working class of Russia.

Wait, what's the details of that key term?

Democratic centralism - The democratic aspect of this organizational method describes the freedom of members of the political party to discuss and debate matters of policy and direction, but once the decision of the party is made by majority vote, all members are expected to uphold that decision. This latter aspect represents the centralism. As Lenin described it, democratic centralism consisted of "freedom of discussion, unity of action."

Cruz absolutely nailed it, and nobody noticed.

I know a lot reading this will say "yeah, duh" but I don't think the absolute profundity has sunk in: we are on the verge of outright Leninist Communism. All the rhetoric and sociopolitical manipulation is firmly at the latter stage of the Menshevik view as defined: having gone thru a bourgeois revolution leading thru a capitalist stage of development, socialism is technically possible, and now the working class is [nearly complete] developing the necessary consciousness for a socialist revolution. Think about that in light of recent rhetoric: 51% of voters receive government welfare/handouts of some form, opinion media is flooded with discussion of "free health care" and "free tuition" and "living minimum wage" and growing bullying of anyone expressing non-PC views, the middle class is largely being degraded as "racist" and otherwise unfair, the wealthy are demonized for their "wealth inequality", local police are being vilified unto stifling their control of the rebellious, and finally there's a renewed (and barely veiled) push to ban guns while instituting active scrutiny & suppression of "domestic terrorism" (WTF?).

Cruz labeled the opposition as what they are: Bolsheviks & Mensheviks - both with the same ultimate goals of Leninist communism, just arguing the now-largely-moot points of how to get to it. Don't underestimate that the Obama came out of nowhere and beat the Clinton political machine to office - twice. Don't underestimate that the "debates" have been a staged script to make the Right wing look as unpalatable as possible (as Cruz more famously nailed). And don't underestimate that hot on Hillary!'s heels is an avowed "democratic socialist" (review above definition & reference), Bernie.

And today, in a long line of hints, we get Supreme Court Justice Kennedy telling conscientious Christians to resign their government positions. The hint: "get out, before we throw you out with escalating force."

Words have meaning.
Cruz selected them carefully, getting them exactly right. LISTEN UP.

Shots fired. Cruz is the only candidate to notice, he told us, and nobody listened. LISTEN UP.

I loved this best of all.

Cruz was spot on about the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.

Described the Democrat Party perfectly.

Cruz's strongest attribute is his understanding of and devotion to the ideas essential to ordered liberty, as declared in America's Declaration of Independence and enshrined in the U. S. Constitution's strict limits on government power!

No other candidate exhibits such depth of understanding of the Constitution's supreme power as "the People's" limitation on its government.

Such understanding was the underlying strength of Reagan's resolve. Reagan had studied the Framers' ideas, understood their reasoning for structuring such a constitutional People's "chain" (Jefferson) on elected and appointed individuals in government, in order to "bind them down from mischief" (again, Jefferson).

If America is to survive as a place of refuge for oppressed peoples, then it must have a leader who protects that Constitution from threats from within and without!

Good. I’ll have to stream the show later and see what he said.

I actually got it last night when Ted Cruz said it, having studied the Russian Revolution in school. Like you said, Ted Cruz absolutely nailed it like one else has.

Supreme Court Justice Kennedy telling conscientious Christians to resign their government positions.

WTH? Did that happen? Do you have a link? When can we start impeachment proceedings? Oh, wait. Obama would just appoint someone worse.

Does anyone know what special ‘talent’ Cruz has - seems like he has a photographic memory or something similar? Or, perhaps he’s just really smart?

I’ve not noticed him looking at notes, etc. - he just presents facts, in detail, from memory.

He has an “audiographic” memory. Anything he hears he remembers. Would come in handy with Putin!

the U. S. Constitution's strict limits on government power

That right there is the most important concept in the political arena today, and 95% (or worse) of politicians and political commentators ignore it. All of our problems with government, from overspending to overregulation to weakness in the face of our foes, are due to the government doing things it has no authority to do and shirking its legitimate, constitutionally mandated responsibilities.

he told us, and nobody listened.

Hellfire, Obama told us and nobody listened. He told everyone exactly what he was going to do to this nation.

The Libs ate it up and the enough Republicans stayed home out of spite to allow the election fraud to give him the win.

Cruz’s analogy is a fair comparison, presented well, to a broad audience, and put some damage on the enemy. I disliked Cruz going into this primary, but he is steadily growing on me. He is smart, he is principled, he is brave and comes across as stubborn. Cruz hasn’t won me in the primary - yet - but I do hope that in the general I can vote for him somewhere on the ticket. President or Vice President, either or.

Don’t overthink it. What he meant
was the democratic candidates are just
different faces of the same thing ... socialism.

Cruz showed that he is the third surgeon on the stage. He took a scalpel to Harwood, and Harwood will never be the same.

Would come in handy when he attends his daily intelligence briefings (unlike the Kenyan Usurper). Wouldn't have to tell him twice.

He’s got to have a great memory, but I don’t know if it’s a natural talent, or just something he developed during his days as a college debater. Clearly, in a debate, the guy who can look at the audience and judges 100% of the time is scoring points over the guy who is shuffling around his note cards, looking down, and pausing a lot.

I noticed. Given that he was saying the two wings of the Democratic party are both Communists, with difference without a distinction being how fast they want to get there, I was surprised the commie moderators didn’t take the bait.
