There have been and will be a number of false prophets, IMO. Mohamed being the main one of all to date. Though pope Francis seems to be teetering on the edge, I don't put him in that category at present.

Islam may perhaps be the primary beast state mentioned in prophecy concerning the end of the age, though I admit I'm not 100% certain. I'm conflicted whether the beast [kingdom] comes out of the Seleucid empire either by linage or location. See Dan. 8 for where I'm getting that assumption. If by linage, those nations carrying on Greece-Roman heritage. If by location, Mohammad-ism.
The fall of the Ottoman empire in the '20s could represent the fatal wound of the beast. Now it [Islam} has came back to life and spreading throughout the world.
If you haven't read Fortner's book, I recommend it. while I don't agree with many of his theories, I find he makes good arguments concerning Islam.
I'm reading another of his books titled, "The Fall of Babylon the Great". In this book to, I sometimes disagree with him, but he presents a wealth of food for thought on this and a number of other subjects.

This HTML character issue started with me yesterday afternoon.
I get them on the main forum page, on some of the individual article pages as well as on some of my posts.
I’m not getting the problem on any other sites.
Maybe one of the techy Freepers can tell us what is causing it.
