Just so long as he didn’t flip his bat. If he flipped his bat he of course must be executed.

I think they got some dog poop in the bullpen. That’s what it is.

Ever try to throw a baseball with pine tar on the ball or your hands?

Like flypaper.

The Ump nullified Brett’s home run, but that was appealed, and it was granted to him.

Initially, but ultimately the call was corrected and Brett did indeed get the homerun.

Word is pine tar give the pitcher a better grip but doesn't help with movement like scuffing the ball or a substance like Vaseline for a spitter. I've heard several batters say that they don't really care about pine tar too much, their pitchers do it too and you kind of want a guy who is going to throw a 95+ mph pitch near you to have a good grip on the ball.

This is a New York paper

Yeah, kind of funny, that. I thought all the Mets fans in the world had gathered in KC this week. Didn't realize there were enough to leave in NYC to write this stuff.

I can still picture George Brett running at the umpire like a maniac.

If there's a discrete list of things that are illegal, then you just need to prove that it isn't any of those things.

You don't have to know what it is to have a list of things you know it is not.

You cannot know for sure that it is NOT something without knowing for sure what it IS, can you?

If somebody hands you an unlabeled can of shoe polish, do you have to know for sure that it's Shinola to know that it isn't shit?
