PAY IT FORWARD: Paramedics with the Mehlville Fire Protection District were called to a South County home after a man fell from his roof and broke his leg while working to remove leaves.
Paramedics returned to the home after transporting him to a nearby hospital and finished the project the man started - bagging up leaves in his yard.
It gets better, an off-duty paramedic brought his personal trailer over to haul away the leaves for this family! What a great act of kindness we felt needed to be shared!
Sweet story bump.
My daughter is a paramedic. They get spit at, yelled at, insulted, and puked on.
Yet, they always start every call with a smile.
I don’t know how she does it. After picking up the same guy three times in the same week because he keeps leaving the hospital AMA, I think I would tell the guy to walk.
