I think a lot of it is just plain making a Choice to be happy in the day. Many women like to complain about everything and about their ills. Then add to that their dogs depressions.
Ok, maybe here is another angle. Could be that a lot of women like to play these games, so they don't have to work, not even do their own housework. Got their men under control for sure and men like to be needed, lol

Oh, hell yeah-my MIL was one of those-not a day went by that she did not have some new complaint-she was not even adverse to injuring herself in some minor way to get her husband’s attention if all else failed, and she was out of antidepressants.
