Any woman who stays with a guy who is cruel to animals deserves to get exactly what she gets.

I truly believe they are. Not only was mine special, we lived next door to a family with a solid orange kitty, and he was special too. I think the white markings make them just a little more special! ;)

Mine was a huge, battling tom, who was boss af whichever neighborhood we lived in. At one time he came home covered in mud and slime. We think he’d been in a battle with a racoon and had gotten tossed into a trickle of a steam behind my neighbor’s house. My husband who knew very little about cats, but who was partial to this one, decided that he needed a bath. I warned him, but he said he’d take care of it.

The cat would have nothing to do with the bathtub and fought my husband tooth and nail, of course. Finally, my husband slammed the bathroom door (shutting me out into the hall where I sat on the floor, crying) and threw the slimy, muddy cat into the shower. He turned on the water and slosed the glass door, penning the cat inside. He reached over the door and aimed the water all over the cat and then (wearing gloves) soaoped him all over. The cat calmed down a bit because he was feeling defeated. After a good rinse, my husband attempted to towel dry him. He was having none of that and escaped.

Obviously Tigger was now feeling like his male cathood had been stolen and he hid under the couch until he dried off. When he emerged, he was the most beautiful cat ever. His white chest and paws just gleamed and he acted like he was king of the world again. He knew he was beautiful and he strutted around to allow everyone to admire his new, clean coat. He and my husband became friends again.

I just can’t deal with it...people make me sick sometimes.

Look at that innocent little thing.

You were right to break up with that violent ass, Gefn.

Although I admit I might have tried to brain him with a frying pan.

I was eleven years old, walking home from somewhere when I heard a plaintive “meow” from bushes by the roadside. A little scared gray kitten was there. “You’re not keeping that thing,” said mom when I brought him into the house.

Fast forward to 29 years old. Mom was very upset when I stopped in to see her; she had not seen him in several days. Never came back; RIP.

Absolutely having that shower door is the only reason it worked. If you had just shower curtain your husband would have been scratched up and kitty traumatized for life:) Our cat, who I wanted to name Farnsworth but got over ruled, was a young stray and we almost didn’t keep him (had 2 already) but he ended up being the best, a tad annoying on occasion though when he has to get up when you do and walk right in your path! We also had one that passed away last year, not an orange cat but def had a “personality.” He was a huge 28 pounds of muscle, had a wild tiger-looking face, and talked back to you. I’d walk in the room and say hi, he’d meow and nod his head. I did this three times in a row once and he kept doing it right back. He’d always come when you called him, even if laying around in bed upstairs. The cat was very smart.
