Just fuel up a few tanks and let them plow over the walkers.

As a side note, here's what happens when your tank runs out of gas................

I only discovered The Walking Dead a few weeks ago. I have been bingeing on the first 5 seasons from Netflix and I kinda hate having to wait a week for a new episode.

I think one thing that makes this series so popular is that it features a very likable and basically moral group of people. So refreshing.

It features a danger that all recognize and are facing ... which is kinda reassuring because we now face a danger that is subtle and unrecognized by many.

Two comments about the zombies. None of them are fat and since at least 30 or 40% of the populace are fat...

Also, they are extremely ugly and when I try to eat in front of the TV ... well, I wish it would spoil my appetite.

Agree 100%. I didn’t get it at first, but it’s not about the zombies. The zombies are the external force that determine people’s inner morality. It was really nice to see Eugene “man up” and save the girl. Weird as he is, you just like Eugene for his bluntness.

BTW, I love that they have Carl and some of the other kids with weapons, and not afraid to use them.

Thanks. It’s a good show. I gave up on “The Affair.” One season, tolerable. Not two. “Homeland” this season is great, almost back to the original intensity after a really blah season.

Reinforcing the routes out of the quarry and then fire bombing / molotoving the walkers might help reduce the threat.

Contrary to most FReepers' opinions...I liked "Fear".

It's not about the characters, it's about the situation. The characters are just there to react to it.

Additionally, I think that "Fear", along with "TWD" is some of the most conservative TV out there. Makes me wonder if the actors realize what they're preaching.

Yeah, it's one thing to know that a shot to the body doesn't kill the WD, and that you can get infected through a bite or scratch, quite another not to understand that and think there is a cure out there.

A similar story line in "Last Ship," though without the same peril of dying all the time, or the gore.

I also though "Fear" was accurate in that things fell apart quickly, and no one had a clue what was happening. The usual cadre of idiots was paraded around on their media ("IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!!" "No, it's not, you idiot. We'll be fine....").

Gov't wasn't any help, (character: "if there was a problem, the gov't would tell us!!" audience ("Snort, Chuckle...") And, the military was portrayed as fairly self-serving ("Man, I just want to get out of here and help my family in San Diego"). And who cares about money....food, medicine, and safe shelter are where it's at.

I'd like to think that the Nat. Guard would be of more help, but if the S truly hits the F, I think that reality will be that they're looking out for themselves and their families. Can't blame them for that, I'd do the same.

Nope, there are plenty of good, conservative lessons in the show (character: "I don't like guns." audience: "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"). Dunno how much is actually rubbing off on liberals who watch it, though.

Yeah, you never know. However, libs have had a strategy for decades to just inundate you with their perverse messages. It’s worked with homosexuality. Conservatives make one movie, like “Atlas Shrugged,” and if it doesn’t make a ton of money, they withdraw. But the libs keep at it and at it.

Find a military museum and the hard copy manuals they’ll have for their equipment and you’ll be all set!

I am always amused by people who think they have this lead pipe chinch method of dealing with the Zombie of modern literature and entertainment.

When you come up with a method of eliminating cockroaches, you will have grasped the nature of the problem and solved it. Until then, you are just “polishing your bo-staff.”

Interesting...... well when we actually have zombies then we’ll test your theory... maybe the real zombies will be able to fly or be invisible...or be fastwalkers....

but for now I have to go with the parameters of the fantasy they’ve created of what a zombie can and cannot do.. ...

And the only things this shows zombies can do is walk slow and bite....

If someone can’t figure out how to protect yourself from a slow walking thing that’s most powerful weapon is a human bite there pretty stupid...

People that dive with sharks know enough to go in with a cage...and /or armor protection

People drive through Lion Country Safari Parks in their damn cars.. and a pack of lions is far more dangerous than a pack of walkers.. and lions are smarter than walkers

None of which has any bearing on the quality of modern Zombie lore.

You have to understand, to those who are fans of Zombie fiction, your “solutions” are as doctrinaire as the guy that thinks you can fix poverty by making everything free.

You can try to save face for your myopic comment, but there’s a very good reason there exists an entire genre of literature that constantly challenges the protagonists to escape a fairly static array of Zombie qualities in clever and plausible ways; the success of which determines whether the author’s story is a success, or failure.

You, sitting at your keyboard, congratulating yourself on how much smarter you are than everybody interested in what is clearly a cultural phenomenon with many metaphorical overtones, clearly do not “get it.”

Rather that parading your lack of mental dexterity, and comforting yourself with the mantra “Zombies ain’t real,” you might want to try inquiring as to WHY Zombies have become such a cultural phenomenon.
