If I had bacon, it would have been that much better.

Here, have a bacon sammich, on me:

Enjoy every sandwich ...

You misspelled sammich.

The din of my children going about their lives while I am in earshot.

***********************************************************************

Remembering when my children were babies and hearing their very first giggles. No sweeter sound than a baby’s giggle, especially when it’s your own baby.

Thanks HotHunt. I’ll try the low carb thing. - It’s sort of hard trying to go “against the grain” around here; but can
be done. I’m gonna print out your post & keep it to refer to.

Hey you might also try the alternate day diet. Eat 500 calories one day and have whatever you want the next day. I have been doing it for about 5 weeks and I’ve never felt better.

There is a lot of science behind the idea of intermittent fasting, and the benefits go beyond just weight loss. Low carbs has worked for me in the past but I was never able to stick with it.

Absolutely nothing! As a bonus, we are starting to see the hell this coup d’etat in our rear-view, with all the evil people who brought it further and further in the distance. THAT I am thankful and praiseful about in itself.

Thanks! That sounds good. - Dieting has been one thing I’m
just plain tired of and bored with. Not that I’ve really
“dieted” all that much; but I do need to lose some weight.
People tend to laugh at me when I say I retain fluid; but
I do retain fluid. I take medication that has been the
pits to try to ever settle on some that work fairly well;
side effects are fluid retention. - I’m just old and
tired!

Thinking of making this a weekly topic with a ping list. Would appreciate any help on setting this up.
