Texas mascot, Bevo XIV, dies at 13

Texas mascot, Bevo XIV, died at the age of 13 on Friday morning, reports Bleacher Report’s Bryan Fischer.
Bevo XIV, whose given name was Sunrise Studly, was retired as mascot on Tuesday after being diagnosed with Bovine Leukemia Virus. He passed away in his sleep on Friday morning.

I wouldn’t eat a brisket from Bevo.. Sad to hear of its passing.
But that does give me an idea for next week’s BBQ offering on Norm’s smack yur lips bistro by the barnyard menu.

XIV inspired the team ONE MORE TIME! To rise up, WIN ONE FOR BEVO, and spank the Sucky Sooners.
XIV was an damned fine Bevo.
He witnesses the rebirth of the Longhorn football program, culminating with the BCS National Championship in 2005. He saw UT win the GREATEST COLLEGE GAME of ALL TIME, with the Rose Bowl win over the USC Trojans.
It’s a sad, sad day.... but, as they say: Death comes to us all.
RIP XIV
May your successor have an equally long reign of dominance.
