A Massachusetts man is thanking his lucky stars that he was attacked by a shark.
Eugene Finney was left bloody and bruised when a shark slammed into him while he was swimming off the California coast.
Something struck me from behind. Id never been hit like that before. It was pretty jarring. It kind of gave me an instant whiplash, he told WBZ.
Even though the attack left a large gash along his back, the real pain started in his chest.
The pain was caused by interior bruising of the thoracic cavity due to blunt force trauma, Finney said.
However, doctors say they found even more when checking Finneys injuries.
They had discovered a growth, or a tumor, on my right kidney about the size of a walnut, he said.
Two weeks ago, Finney underwent surgery to remove the cancer and doctors do not believe he will need any further treatment.
If this didnt happen with the shark causing me to go in with this chest pain, I would have never known about this cancer, he said.
It led to a situation that saved his life. Thats pretty fascinating when you think about it, said Dr. Tuerk.
Our Lord works in mysterious ways...
Mysterious is an understatement.
“You need to get to hospital......(ponder).....I Know! I’LL Hit you with a 5 ton Fish!”
“That should do the trick!”
I have unfortunately seen too many relatives die of cancer. But was there any chance he might have lived to a ripe old age and this went undiscovered until then?
i dont know.
I’d prefer a card in the mail.
I’m sure most would.
Now he can continue his trip to Ninevah to get the Assyrians to repent.
I discovered that I needed new underwear.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Yup... all things includes shark attacks....
He sure does. - Several years ago, my nose had been stopped up for literally years - both nostrils, in fact. I was using 4-Way Nasal Spray every single day just to halfway breathe. - I finally just prayed and asked God to fix it. -
Well, soon after the prayer, I was standing at the kitchen counter. My nose started spitting blood. Husband and I tried for well over an hour to get it to stop. Finally, it was gushing blood and I was getting a bit weak. Husband drove me in to hospital half an hour away. - They tried to stop it bleeding. The nurse even threatened to have to take desperate measures to stop it if it didn’t stop on its own. - Well, big chunks and globs gushed out. - Then it stopped bleeding. - Hasn’t been stopped up at all since. (I don’t use 4-Way or any other nasal spray any more.) Every time I think of that; I realize it was a miracle. A scary miracle. Not as scary as a shark; but scary anyway.
Wow. Did the doctors ever figure out what was wrong, or did they have no clue?
On his way home, he was t-boned by a lawyer, and found out just in time that his transmission was about to go. His lucky streak continues!
Doctors didn’t know. I think they were probably just glad it stopped bleeding on its own. (That way, they didn’t have to knock me in the head. Ha) Not too long ago, husband got an awful nosebleed that lasted a long time. They seemed to have developed some other options than what they had when I came in with the bleed. They did some stuff to his nose that they didn’t seem to know to do for mine those years ago. - I think the heavy duty nasal spray had added insult to injury and it just had to get it out of its system in order to normalize. (Avoid dependency on those heavy duty nasal sprays.)
The article said it was a shark.
