KC 7
H 6

Houston just blew a 5 point lead and are now 1 run behind KC top of the 8th.

KC has 3 on base, 2 outs and batter with 1 b and 2 strks.

All the naysayers should make like a tree and get out of here!

Alas, if the Cubs ended up facing the Tigers in the 1984 World Series, they would have been quickly swept by the Tigers that season--the Tigers in 1984 were on a roll and nobody could stop them.

84 Tigers were the greatest team of the modern era.

Who or what will be this year’s Bartman?

I was looking for some kind of thread for this Astros-KC game. I’m rooting for the Astros but I can’t believe how KC has come roaring back in the bottom of the eighth. Astros now face lights-out Wade Davis with this seasons’ ERA of 0.94.

It's reminiscent of last year for the Royals, coming back from being way down in the 8th.

Remind me what happened last year. Do you know which game it was and did KC have their backs to the wall and how many runs did they have to score?

Now, if you’re like me, you wonder why this isn’t always the play with a runner on third and fewer than two outs.

Because bunting is largely a lost art and Cadillacs come from swinging from the heels. That said, good for the Cubs for putting down a couple.

What were the odds for the Cubs to win the World Series at “the beginning of the season”?

And there is no “points” in baseball.

They are called runs.

Would you want to bunt with a 95+ MPH fastball heading at your chest?...................

They led wire-to-wire, 26–4 record in the first 30 games, won 104 regular season games, but to be fair, in the World Series, they needed FIVE games to reach the championship. ;’)

It was the wild card game last year. The Royals were behind 3-7 and we scored 3 runs in the 8th then another to tie in the 9th and eventually won the game. Went on to win 3 straight games in the next 5 game series then 4 straight in the 7 game series, then went to a 3-3 in the world series but lost in the 7th game. A great year for the Royals and this one could be another.

Looks like I have to go with the KC Royals - the true DREAM TEAM!

No stars, merely "Men at Work."

Unfortunately, all anyone remembers about the '84 Tigers is their fans burned half the city down after they won it all.

35-5 start

109-53 for the season.

The Cubs didn't stand a chance against that team. An incredible year! Thanks Sparky! RIP!
