In Orange County CA it has been unusually warm most of the summer, and now beyond.

Warmer than I can remember. Ever. Two heavy rains during the late summer, which is super rare here.

Good news is snow in the Sierras.

Here is a firmer set of predictions 6 days after this post. It sounds as if California really will get a lot of rain and snow. Just hope that burned out areas don’t have massive mud slides. This link has some really nice graphics on world and North American conditions and forecasts.
