It was 2 Handguns and ammo in his backpack, also his wandering focus during the attack lends credence to a drug induced psychotic state..
One of the girls that was lying near the front of the class then said that she was sorry for whatever happened to him and for whatever she had done wrong. The shooter then said that he bets she was and shot her. At that point he was just firing on people who were just lying there and stopped when he heard a woman outside and shot out the window by the door. That is when he looked out the door and saw a man standing outside. The man asked him not to shoot him because it's his son's birthday.

God Bless...
Places where you should assume that a gunman wants to kill as many people as possible, rather than have some demands met and leave:
Schools.
Church, other place of worship.
Train, plane, bus.
Workplace, especially former workplace.
Theater.
Sporting event.
Mall.
That doesn’t mean, my friends in New Jersey, that someone carrying a gun in those places is a gunman. A gunman is shooting or threatening to do so.
When it gets warm, some folks may decide it would be good to warm themselves by the fire.
This was Carson's point...people nowadays have been indoctrinated to be passive in the face of clear threats that they are almost inevitably destined to become victims.
But, but we’ve been assured by our “betters” that all we have to do in such a situation is say “I feel your pain” and sing Kumbaya, and all is well.
Pinging both lists to what went on during the school shooting.
***people nowadays have been indoctrinated to be passive in the face of clear threats ***
Like the people on the planes on 9-11 were assured they would be alright and just set down like good little boys and girls.
Not a gun expert but COULD this class of students have stormed him and saved some people? I am not sure if this (as in the French train shooting avert) is always possible.
I find it incredible that these victims don’t attack the shooter.
Nothing to lose, your life to gain.
Crazy.

Yes
I recommend the training that they offer.
I invite comments from you - whether you are a novice or a professional.
There's SO MUCH more to know than what to buy and how to shoot straight.
Thanks for taking the time.
This doesn’t seem to match the accepted Chris Mintz narrative of charging the shooter.
Throw anything toward the shooter to distract him. re, pencil, pen , change from pocket but then make your move to get at him. You may end up shot , wounded, maybe worse but it may help save some of the other people.
Satan worship does that to you. He admitted as such in his childish “manifesto”
It was a creative writing class so they may have naturally lacked the inspiration and/or imagination.
Before shooting the first victim, the killer had them all get on the floor. Charging him would have required getting off the floor first, and likely getting shot while doing so. They weren’t given time to confer on mass action. Iirc the time before action changed to the killer and arriving LE was less than 10 min.
we have all been trained by watching countless movies of bank robberies ect to just lay on the ground and everything will be fine.
The only moment anyone had to act was immediately, which might have prompted accusations that they caused the shooter to go crazy and shoot people.
This was a no win situation.
If you have an opening or the opportunity, the answer is YES.
It's a principle those in the defense/security business refer to as "attack the attacker."
I am still trying to figure out how Chris broke both his legs.
