Shots Fired: Elon Musk Claims Apple Hires Rejected And Fired Tesla Engineers
Daily Caller ^ | 6:15 PM 10/09/2015 | Emma Colton

Elon Musk threw some serious shade today at Apple Inc., Apple Inc.’s engineers and Apple Inc.’s electric car plans during an interview in Germany.

The Tesla car magnate told Düsseldorf’s Handelsblatt Newspaper that Apple has become a “Tesla graveyard” where fired employees from the car company end up working as inferior engineers at the Cupertino computer tech company.

Elon Musk must be feeling a great deal of fear to behave/act/speak as he is doing. Musk’s products are greatly subsidized by the government and Apple’s products have no need of subsidies at all.

I trust Apple will continue to need no subsidies and Musk will continue to require them. If a product cannot survive on its own, it’s not a worthwhile product.

They were playing nice together less than a year ago, a lot of talk about a joint effort, perhaps a merger or buyout. No more. I guess they’re rivals now.

Fun to watch for me having been in tech since the mid 70’s and have watched the transformation from the inside as well

This in the industry is not new and is pure ego and “Progressive Thinking” (Oxymoron) pure and simple

Love where Musk compares making a watch or phone versus a car. Bwhahaaa so true. A lot of my career has been spent on the Service and Support side. Can anyone here imagine calling in for support if it is similar if not identical to what you get for your cell phone?

Severe case of Outkicking Your Coverage, and you alone have to do it all...

RIP Apple...

Google already changed to Alphabet and took the search division and hung it elsewhere on there charts, revenue drop or planning says not a fit
So where do they want to play??

Supplant Microsoft in the Online Subscription market for the desktop

Office 365 one..

Have done a Lot of work with software at all levels and just like Apple if they think a browser and their current portfolio is competitive...

Again OYC as above

And they want to control cars too!!

And last Google as part of their “free” e-mail service has the right to read them all of them. It is in the agreement you checked the box to opening the account

Called the EULA

End User License Agreement...

AKA “small print”

Gotcha...

Yep. Elon is another smug immigrant gaming the system.

Not too mention that, unless a way to store more energy is found, his product likely has maximized potential for storing energy.

I’ve not been impressed with the implementation of Office 365 in my particular office. A lot of freezing and latency with the cloud, even Excel flickering and freezing, having to quit Outlook and restart to check email. Not looking so good to me at this point, but it’s only been two weeks. Migrating the email server this weekend, maybe that will help.

Apple is probably hiring the best engineers and paying them more to leave the subsidized and yet very expensive cult driven electric car Tesla.

I prefer standalone but the implementation costs and know how needed by IT to really make it work across all the devices is beyond what they do today...

One of the main things I dislike is the need or assumption that I am always on the Internet...

An umbilical cord I neither want or need ...

Internet service disruption goes from an annoyance to a dead in the water until it comes back up, might as well send everybody home emergency. I can foresee the tearing of hair and rending of clothing over that at some point. There’s something to be said for having critical functions siloed off, imho, but I’m not IT so what do I know.

Apple hiring ex-Tesla engineers to gain knowledge of Tesla’s developing technologies.

Industrial espionage.

Posts elsewhere report a different take: Musk’s noises are like some one who knows there is a really big fish quietly swimming up on him - mouth open - and his days are limited. Aka, the sounds of quiet desperation ...

There was a reason AAPL did not buy Musk - lock, stock, and barrel.

If AAPL wanted to make a vehicle or anything else, then they have the re$ource$ to hire anyone from anywhere.

I needed more apostrophes than I had on hand. I tried to download more from the app store but Apple had pulled it.

That’s easy -— they’ll vote for whichever company receives GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES. Guess which one that would be.

There have been tons of Apple products purchased by school districts all across the country.

Ahh...you do understand that there is a difference between subsidies and purchases in the free market, don’t you?

Cities, counties and states have been buying fuel cell vehicles for over twenty years. Are you going to tell me that’s a free market too?

Apple hires brilliant engineers.
Not the second string...I know, I have some upper level engineer friends who work for apple.
Only the cream gets the Apple gig.
Everyone knows this.
What is Elon trying to say?
Fear?
