If you were beaten to a pulp, lost an eye, and had your ribs broken, wouldn't you want to pursue justice against the one responsible? Harry Reid does. After being badly beaten up "by his exercise machine," he is suing for his injuries. Here's exactly how it happened (unless it happened a completely different way):
"The TheraBand was mounted to a sturdy object in his bathroom," according to the lawsuit. "While in use, the TheraBand broke or slipped out of Mr. Reid's hand, causing him to spin around and strike his face on a cabinet."
According to the document, Reid suffered "loss of vision in his right eye, a concussion, broken orbital bones, severe disfigurement and bruising to his face, hand injuries, facial lacerations, scarring, and broken ribs."

“Broke or slipped” sounds like the slip-and-fall attorney’s term for “slipped”.
The cabinet...that he supposedly repeatedly hit, should’ve come with a warning sign, too.

Some FReepers were speculating a few months ago, that he was beaten up by his drunk brother (not an exercise accident). I am curious as to whether he has really filed court papers, or just had this story “leaked” to provide cover for an embarrassing family situation. ??
I'm thinking 40-ish... maybe more.
Exercise machines are designed to keep a person in top physical condition and the machines are advertised as being the best at doing so.
People in top physical are able to defend themselves.
Harry Reid got his ass kicked in epic fashion, so obviously he was not in the peak physical condition promised by the machine maker.
Please,Nevada, retire this old SOB next year.

Reid is the basis of a character portrayed in Godfather 2 btw...

Actually, Reid was the character in “Casino” 1995 who denies Robert DeNiro a casino license, after DeNiro comp’d him with broads, parties, trips, etc.
DeNiro’s character was Frank Rosenthal, and “Casino” was based on true events or close to true events during Frank’s time in Las Vegas.
