Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney was giving his post-game interview after his 12th-ranked Tigers took down the fifth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish 24-22, and then got cut off during the middle of his interview.
Swinney was in the middle of thanking the good Lord when the camera suddenly cut to the ESPN studio with the two anchors completely unaware and checking their tablets for almost 15 seconds before cutting back to the interview.
ESPN senior director of public relations Keri Potts shortly tweeted out an apology, saying it was an error in TV transmission.

This is a country where killing white Christians is not a hate crime but killing black Christians is. This is a country that will not lift a finger or say a word to stop the murder and persecution of Christians around the world. How would anyone expect ESPN not to play the same game?

Without more, I’m actually inclined to believe that it was a mistake.
1) Athletes and coaches (especially football players/coaches) thank God all the time. Why would they choose THIS time to engage in some sort of censorship?
2) Live sports and live interviews are broadcast with a “seven second delay.” If they wanted to cut off the mention of God, why did they cut away AFTER, not before?
