A disaster. Rip it up or renegotiate.
Is that specific enough for the mindless media?
Just lost my vote. Tariffs lower everybody’s standard of living, except for a handful of privileged union thugs who benefit from higher prices.
He really IS the new Ross Perot!
It’s not the business of the government to tell me what countries I should buy from. I wonder why so many Freepers believe that it is. A tax on imports is a tax on American consumers.
Yes!!
It's about time someone started condemning these phony "trade deals." Terminate NAFTA and get the America out of all of those world trade groups where the America is being used and looted.
Talk about unguided missiles.
Thank God. NAFTA is one of the worst agreements the US has ever entered into. At least re-negotiate it in our favor.
Mexico has to be wondering WTF. And the Russians, and the Chinese, and the Iranians, and ....
One of the few pro-Nafta arguments I recall that made me inclined to support it twenty years ago was that it would build up the Mexican economy and thus, curtail the huge flow of illegals across the Rio Grande. What a joke that turned out to be.
So tear the damned thing to shreds as far as I’m concerned. And screw corporate-America, they can go burn in hell too, as they’ve fueled our corrupt crony government and helped fund the depraved faggot agenda. I’d like to see the whole Wall Street donor class squeezed until their eyeballs pop out.
After much consideration and emotional discussion, the House of Representatives passed the North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act on November 17, 1993, 234-200. The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. The bill passed the Senate on November 20, 1993, 61-38.[6] Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats. Clinton signed it into law on December 8, 1993; the agreement went into effect on January 1, 1994.[7][8] Clinton, while signing the NAFTA bill, stated that "NAFTA means jobs. American jobs, and good-paying American jobs. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't support this agreement."[9]
And just who pays for these new tariffs once they trickle through the end product?
That is right, the person buying the end product........
I hate NAFTA CAFTA SHAFTA
NAFTA was advertised as a job generator for Mexicans, so why are the Mexicans invading the US looking for jobs?
