Maybe the internet is going to collapse upon itself.
Today I went to a site that Rush may have been referring to. I use an Ad Bock program. Before loading the main page the site loaded 58 ads first. When I clicked on a story of interest that site loaded 84 ads before I got to read the actual contents. When I went to the comments section the total ads shot up to 91.
Maybe the internet is going to collapse upon itself.
Now, what do we do about his radio show that is 33% ads?
I hope that Apple allows Ad blocker apps
Wonder if he meant Breitbart?
Rush should just move his show to his true natural home - NPR
Some sites are so bad with the invasive ads and scripts they will often crash your browser. Glenn Beck’s site, “The Daily Caller”, and Hot Air are all very bad in this regard.
Some of which have been the same for years. I don’t mind “ obscene profits breaks” but they would be less obscene if they weren’t quite so old.
More like 50% ads. Radio ads play over and over the same six ads!
FWIW I find the site’s rss feed and read articles online that way. No ads.
Rush's radio show ads don't cause my computer to slow down....but, they do allow Rush to stay on the air, which is a good thing.
That’s the way to do it :)
I never see those ads. I go to Hotair and Breitbart all the time. Firefox with their adblock software.
I hope that Apple allows Ad blocker apps

It does.
The movie “Idiocracy” get’s it right once again. Ads plastered everywhere.
Can someone provide a link or name of a safe and reliable ad blocker for Windows that would work when browsing sites like Breitbart and others like that (which now freeze everything up, and I tend to avoid)?
non issue if you’re using an ad blocker

Heh, heh. Good burn worth repeating in large font.
It's free and it WORKS!
CNN revised their site some months ago, and the load times hit the stratosphere on IE (and now, the new browser on Win10.) It’s still quite usable in Firefox with AdBlock and NoScript. Same with a number of other sites. (And don’t forget Ghostery).
Rush needs to get a techie to set up a browser for him.
