It would have to be quick. After the temple was built and it was dedicated:
“7:4 The king and all the people were presenting sacrifices to the Lord. 7:5 King Solomon sacrificed 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep.”
I can’t recall, but when they brought the ark to the new temple they traveled miles, and made large sacrifices at fairly close intervals - 100 feet or something!? I’m not sure, but after reading it we commented on how long it must have taken them to travel, and how many animals it must have been.
Another interesting point about the difference between Jewish and Muslim sacrifice is the Muslims hang the pieces of the animals on fence posts and around the village to rot to simulate the smell of dead infidels in the end slaughter.
The Jews have a barbecue and everybody sits down and eats together.
