Yawn. Every few decades Hollywood will churn out an anti-gun movie.
TARGETS (1968)
AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT (1995)
RUNAWAY JURY (2003)
These immediately come to mind.
Used to be when TV was saturated with anti-gun scripts.
I must have been looking at Colt SAAs lately (Single Action Army, i.e. the Peacekeeper), because a stupid M*A*S*H* episode has been in my head all morning. It's the one where a guest star, playing some Patton-esq military type, brings an SAA to the camp. Maj. Burns "borrows" it and all hell breaks loose. At the end, Col. Potter shakes his stupid head and intones seriously that the SAA "belongs in a museum", instead of being carried around.
Freaking hell! Pinhead '70's show manages to produce an anti-gun message in a Korean War setting. It's not like an army camp wouldn't be inundated with guns, including personal sidearms issued to officers.
