That Osborne Christmas lights at Hollywood Studios was the best thing about going to Disney World during Christmas season. I am going to miss it. Looks like a third of Hollywood Studios will be torn down and replaced with Star Wars stuff. Disney already shut down the American Idol site and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Looks like not really worth going to Hollywood Studios for a few years.

The people that took over Disney after the family no longer ran it has turned it into anything but family entertainment. Walt must be turning over in his grave.

To set the record straight the Osborne Lights have been at WDW for 20 YEARS. You can still see them this year for the last time. Aside from the lights Hollywood Studios has been stale for years and NEW attractions are most welcome.

Never been there and have no desire to go, but I am curious to know what these lights are and why they have that name.

I has a sad. :(
We’ve visited the Osborne Lights for 12 or more of the last Christmases. It’s fun and pretty and the snow makes it just that much better.
As an addition, Indiana Jones is still going on (though there are rumors...there are ALWAYS rumors about Indiana Jones SS). They closed the Back-Lot Tour (finally) and that area will be the new Star Wars area, along with more Pixar fun.
As long as they don’t stop the Beauty and the Beast show, all will be well. I love the show, but, always end up in tears at the end. :D
