Donald Trump vs the Left Wing Media
September 5, 2015

Posted on 09/05/2015 7:19:08 AM PDT by SamAdams76

It seems every time I turn around, Donald Trump is giving another press conference or he's on some talking head show. Or, he's sending out a batch of Tweets. With regard to press conferences, Trump gives them often and they often run to a full half hour. Trump is fearless in these press conferences, even though 90% of the reporters hate him and are obviously out to get him with "gotcha" questions. Occasionally Trump will wave off the more ridiculous questions but he'll field the tough ones.

Contrast this with the behavior of the front-runner on the Democrat side. When has she ever given a full length, full access press conference like Donald Trump? Instead, she treats the press with low regard, corralling them behind ropes like cattle and on the few occasions she deigns to take a "question or two" from the riff-raff press, she only takes questions from those that she knows will be friendly to her.

This despite the fact that the press corps is slavishly obedient to her. Not only are they obsequious in their demeanor towards her, but they literally grovel in front of her with bent knees as if it was medieval Europe and they were poor peasants seeking an audience with the Queen.

In early July, when Hillary decided to grant a brief audience with the media hand-picked and collected before her, the best question a stammering, submissive CNN reporter could put out there was "M-M-Mrs Clinton, uh, uh, what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?"

"Why I like nearly everything", responded the imperial Queen, as she glided away from the unctuously subserviant rabble before her. You almost get the impression she patted him on the head on her way out of there, like the useless lapdog that he is.

With Donald Trump however, that same bunch turn into vicious, disrespectful jackals at his many press conferences. Yet Trump treats them with far more respect, not only knowing their names most of the time, but giving them plenty of time to ask question after question.

Even on that occasion when he had that disrespectful Jorge Ramos ejected for speaking (shouting) out of turn and being an obnoxious ass, Trump had him brought back in later and then spent an extended amount of time with him.

I think Donald Trump has had more press conferences and taken more media questions this summer alone than Shrillary Clinton has taken her entire career as a public servant.

Then you have social media. I have Trump's Twitter Feed on another window on my computer and I count no less than 5 tweets from him so far this morning. And this seems like a light day for him. Since starting his Twitter account in 2009, there have been almost 28,000 Tweets sent out by him to the people following him. I think even our most active posters on Free Republic would have trouble matching that here.

Now people may criticize Trump for the sometimes harsh and unpresidential tone of his social media postings. But he's reaching out directly to the American people day after day and choosing not to hide behind a loyal cadre of handlers. And he obviously hand-types every single one of them. He doesn't pawn this off on handlers, or we would see nothing but banal, boring, politically correct comments posted there.

I think that the American people are responding to that and this is why we see Donald Trump rising so high in the polls. People are responding positively to a presidential candidate who is making himself accessible to them, warts and all.

It amazes me that somebody who is so accessible to the media can be treated by them (the media) with such hatred. While on the other hand, the very same press corps can be so sycophantically fawing and servile towards a bitter hag who treats them with utter contempt.

I’m in a difficult position. I know Trump is unreliable as a Conservative, yet I still cheer for him because I dislike all the enemies that attack him

Fox news is more popular than ever.

Trump loves doing this, you can tell...

I couldn’t agree more. I love that someone is finally unafraid to speak the truth, is exposing evils to daylight, and is taking the fight to the enemy instead of cowering. But I don’t trust him to be conservative at all.

Herein lies the problem. Almost everyone has a different definition of what a conservative is. Now, I know that Donald isn’t as conservative on some issues as others, but he sure is more conservative than the others in the field on other issues. All candidates have their warts - and I assume you are a Cruz fan (maybe not), but he sure has his share of warts as well. Trump didn’t vote for TPA, nor does Trump favor increasing H-1B visas by 500%. Neither was Trump’s wife a member of CFR, which is a globalist organization. So, you gotta take the good with the bad.

This is Trump’s Arena...he loves to be seen, he loves people, he doesn’t care who you are, unless your disrespectful, (he hates that from anyone).

He’s smart, and what he isn’t smart on he learns real fast, he’s a gentleman, and not meaning ‘today’s’ gentleman, I’m meaning the last era of gentlemen...he loves beautiful women, (any man that said they didn’t is either crazy or a liar), he loves his family,

But most of all he loves being who he is, he’s Trump, billionaire, builder of beautiful things, taking care of people and that’s why he wants to Make America Great Again.

Anyone who has worked with their hands, imaginanation, brains will tell you that they find peace, happiness, a feeling of great accomplishment when they are finished...Trump wants to Make America BEAUTIFUL Again, and this Country is beautiful, it’s regal mountains, it’s lakes, it’s trees, it’s deserts, everything in this Country is beautiful...and he wants to pay back to the country what the country has given him...

I design and make hand made quilts, I spend hours designing just the right quilt for the right person, I do them by hand, I have a picture in my mind, I put it on paper, I decide what print of material should go where, I go buy the material, I measure, I piece pieces together, and them I sew them into these beautiful pictures and then I hand quilt them....

I understand Trump, he does the same thing with his buildings, golf courses, whatever he touches, he sees it in his head first and then goes from there...

To not elect him as Our next POTUS would be the most depressing thing we could do to Our Country, with her beauty from coast to coast...

I’m voting for a Beautiful America, so I’m voting for Trump 2016!!!

Like Ronaldus Maximus, Trump loves America. Bammy and the rest of the Rats do not. They want to bring America to its knees.

I take the Founding Fathers especially Washington, Franklin and Adams as being persons who certainly fulfill your comment.

What 2016 is going to come down to is which candidate is an unabashed reliable American nationalist.

One tidbit that came out of Hillary’s E-Mails was her verifying to Huma (or whoever) that the advance copy of the questions for Meet the Press (or equivalent, don’t remember) had been received and that Hillary would be provided with the proper answers.

That is just HOW BAD it is now.

It’s ok. Rationalize it the way I do:

1) In a perfect world, Cruz would lock up the nomination and then win in November.

2) But is the country ready for him, and is he ready for taking on the media, which is far more polarized than ever, and that is saying a lot? I don’t think so.

3) If Cruz (or any conservative) loses, it’s game over for the Republicans, for generations, as mass Amnesty is a certainty.

4) Trump, clearly, at this point is capable of both handling the media and winning. If Trump then clears out the Illegals, then Republicans live another day...and, as a bonus, get to watch and learn how to get around the media.

5) Then, in 2020 or 2024, it is Cruz’s turn. In the meantime he may well be VP, and if he is, he’ll be doing a lot more than going to funerals.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Hillary never does a TV appearance without knowing ahead of time what questions will be asked and having canned answers to those questions prepared for her ahead of time by her staffers.

It was the same for Obama as well.

It is only the conservatives that get the "gotcha" questions.

In Donald Trump, we finally have a candidate who thrives in the hostile atmosphere of the left-wing press corps. Haven't seen anybody manhandle the press like this since Ronald Reagan. And Trump is still learning and will get better still as time goes on.
