It might seem like summer was only last week in Germanyand thats because it was.
With blazing sunshine and temperatures topping 30°C over the weekend, the onset of winter couldnt have been further from most Germans minds.
But in the Bavarian Alps, autumn has been skipped out altogether.
At ZugspitzeGermanys highest peak, at 2,962 metersseven centimeters of snow have already fallen, reports the Münchner Merkur.

OK, so it’s snowing on Germany’s highest peak. Just north of there, in Munich, it is in the mid 60, which is normal.
Hell, here in Northwest Ohio, the last week or so has been the hottest it’s been all summer! It’s been near or at 90° and it ain’t done yet. Usually July and August is hot and funky around here. Oh well, it takes all kinds. And more than once in the last 10 years, it goes from shirtsleeve weather to instant cold, like the flip of a light switch. Heh, as I’ve said for many years here, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes! ;)
We could have a mini-ice age in summer and the media will scream global warming. 0bama too.
