DONALD TRUMP AND KIM DAVIS: NO SWEAT, THEY BOTH EXPOSE THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT: BUNNING'S NEAT TRICK
9/4/2015 | Self

Posted on 09/04/2015 4:19:50 AM PDT by Nextrush

(EDITORIAL NOTE: A POST I MADE AROUND 5AM THIS MORNING LAYS OUT THE NEAT TRICK JUDGE DAVID BUNNING APPEARS TO BE PULLING TO AVOID MARTYRDOM FOR KIM DAVIS. I MENTION IT BRIEFLY AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST BUT I WAS LOGGED OFF FREE REPUBLIC AFTER 5AM SO THE POST COULD BE REMOVED FROM THE FRONTPAGE NEWS SECTION)

There have been some on Free Republic asking about Donald Trump's view of Rowan County, Kentucky Chief Kim Davis's act of civil disobedience over gay marriage.

Whatever, I think what counts is that both of them in their own way expose the fake conservatism of the Republican Party apparatus.

Trump has called their bluff on Amnesty and invasion of illegal immigrants. Davis calls their bluff on 'family values' and 'religious freedom'.

When Operation Rescue was coming down in the late 1980's with abortion clinic blockades across the country I held management responsibility for a mainstream media organization and I caught flak not just from the Pro-Abortion liberals for coverage (they knew I was Pro-Life) but from the "Pro-Life Movement".

The National Right To Life operatives didn't want Operation Rescue coverage because civil disobedience disrupted their political approach of gradualism.

This meant using emotional wedges like abortions for minors, at military bases, partial birth and so on to raise money and support Republican politicians who were were "Pro-Life" and would give us the "Pro-Life, Pro-Family" SCOTUS justices who would someday overturn Roe vs. Wade.

We know where that's left us at this moment.....

As I posted earlier my hunch is that Judge Bunning is trying to get things over with quickly and relieve Kim Davis of any 'martyr' status ASAP.

It looks like a neat trick from a Republican Establishment judge.

In a few minutes the gay plantiffs enter the Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk's Office. They get marriage licenses from the clerks who told the judge they would give them.

Then Bunning gets to release Davis I strongly suspect.

I suggested the alternate "We Shall Not Be Moved" scenario involving concerned citizens.

We shall see things play out momentarily.

Trump suggested the couple drive to another county. He also said allow others in her office handle it.

According to this CNNN story (in about the 20th paragraph), Davis is a Democrat.

So, you're right, there may be some subterfuge going on here aimed at getting Republicans to go on record supporting an obvious homophobe.

Meanwhile, the SF Sheriff who broke the law by not reporting the guy who killed Katie Steinle to ICE a month before her murder continues to roam the streets free as a bird.

Could you please elaborate why you think this is a trap? Almost all of them have come out with their view on this ruling. Most notable is that of Ted Cruz who pointed out the SCOTUS ruling was at the original fault so anything resulting from it to support it was unconstitutional as well.

...getting Republicans to go on record supporting an obvious homophobe.

I'm sorry, but she neither fears nor loathes homosexuals (from all I have read on the subject), which means your slur on her is unwarranted and untrue.

She objects to being forced to illegally (as KY has no valid current marriage law after SCOTUS gutted it) personally authorize a homosexual "marriage" under her own name, in direct violation of natural law and her first amendment rights to freedom of religion.

You say you worry about it being a trap, but incorporate the leftist smear "homophobe" in your argument.

She's a Democrat. So I reserve the right to remain suspicious of her motives. Even Nanzi Pelosi describes herself as a Christian.

Easy explanation. She is a democrat. Can’t help it. I don’t trust them. Plus this woman reminds me of a scammer and her daughter I worked with some years ago. LOL(just the look)

I also think it is ridiculous that she was shackled and all. Seems like it is very over done. She is hardly a big threat.

I know I wouldn’t issue gay marriage licenses either. I would probably resign my position.

Remember a few years back when pharmacists of faith didn’t want to be forced to fill abortion prescriptions?

I haven’t heard much about how some of those cases were resolved. This seems very similar.

I’ve read this Democrat thing before, but the problem with acts of civil disobedience historically is that major political parties consider it to be a hot potato they want to avoid.

When MLK’s civil disobedience activities in Birmingham broke things wide open with nationwide protests and calls for a civil rights law in 1963, the Democrats panicked.

JFK couldn’t lose the white southerners who voted Democrat for him in 1960 in the next year’s election, so the FBI started following MLK around and sent him an audio sex tape early in 1964 to intimidate him.

The GOP operatives in the “Pro-Life Movement” expressed their disapproval of the Operation Rescue blockades of abortion clinics back around 1990. They wanted people to support conventional Republican politicians who they called “Pro-Life” and “Pro-Family” and who would appoint justices to SCOTUS who would overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Well we know where that got us.

If Bunning springs Davis from jail later today after the other clerks issue the licenses in her office, I see a tricky maneuver to avoid making Davis a martyr short circuiting civil disobedience in Kentucky and helping the Republicans to win the election for governor this year without the distraction of civil disobedience.

CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE DOES NOT FOCUS GROUP WELL AND HELP A POLITICIAN WIN AN ELECTION, SO BIG POLITICAL PARTIES AVOID IT IN ELECTION SEASONS.

"...go on record supporting an obvious homophobe."
"What's a "homophobe"? "

To the Left, RINOs and those swallowing their propaganda, a "homophobe" is anyone who is not a "homophile."

I think the events of earlier this morning are worth noting.

I don’t know how folks got into my laptop, logged me off and messed with the click topic section. Was it a moderator move or Republican Party hackers, gay hackers, whoever, I don’t care.

I just take note. The post suggested a scenario to prevent the marriage licenses from being granted this morning at the clerk’s office. I don’t know if that PO’ed anyone.

The post which may explain the events about to happen
