I was on a nature trail many years ago in Boiling Springs state park with a pal, came upon some terrified Brownies (little girl scouts) in a clearing.
We had been warned there might be snakes, so we each had a shovel. For the last half of the walk there must have been a snake—a lot of them `wedge-heads’—every few feet.
We got through without anyone bitten, but since then snakes give me the damwillies.
Yeah, moccasins can be aggressive too, but dayum, cobras just look bad.

They’re not aggressive, they’re curious. I’ve been around cobras, they’re really laid back unless you hurt them or scare them.
