Continue your current approach Donald.

Loyalty pledges come later. For now keep on talking issues.

Tell Preibus that you pledge to run a third party candidacy if even one state GOP blocks you from the ballot.

Who would believe a politician’s pledge anyway?

First, I don't think that Donald needs any of our advice on this. But here's what I think he'll do ....

I, Donald Trump, pledge to support the winner of the gOp POTUS primary and not run Third Party as long as ....

None of the "The GOPe construct to nominate Jeb Bush" ... consisting of ten candidates: Jeb Bush ◾Marco Rubio ◾Carly Fiorina ◾Mike Huckabee ◾Chris Christie ◾John Kasich ◾Rick Perry ◾Lindsey Graham ◾George Pataki and Jim Gilmore) are the Party's nominee. If any of them are the nominee, all bets are off.

I would hope he's smarter than that.

This is truly a fascinating event in history. One of the two national political parties has a candidate leading in the polls of their primary and beating the opposition party in several battleground states and the party is rejecting the candidate.

The GOPe had a great plan to sell their souls to the highest bidders, line their own pockets and then rule the kingdom from the comfort and safety of the beltway paradise they built with the peoples money. It was a great plan, right up to the point a candidate arrived on then scene that their money can’t buy and the people they need to vote for them told them to stick it where the sun don’t shine.

For those who’ve said we don’t need a third party, we need to take back our party, your time is here!

The GOP cannot be trusted. They’re controlled by the GOPE.

If he makes that pledge he will be effectively promoting Bush. He has to leave the 3rd party option open even if it means he is excluded from Lindsey Graham's own primary. Bush will be the GOPe nominee. The rules for the convention have been changed specifically to exclude Conservatives. In the first primaries where there are many conservatives running the delgates will be apportioned proportionately. The later primaries where there are only a few conservatives left running are winner takes all. The goal is to make it difficult or impossible for a conservative to get the required absolute majorities in the 8 states necessary to even have one's name submitted in the Convention. It is assumed that Bush will get those 8 majorities in the Democrat state primaries in states that never vote Republican in the Election. If Trump cannot manage majorities in the first primaries he may need that third party option still open without "breaking his word."

The way the rules are set up a Conservative or Trump could easily have a large plurality of the total primary votes and not even be eligible to be considered at the Convention. Add the Super Delegates controlled by the RNC into the mix and Bush is the Nominee who will go on to lie down on the mat for the election day ten count. Of course if the nominee is, indeed, Bush then it doesn't matter whether he takes a dive or not.

And ... whatever he does with the pledge, his 2:00pm press conference will be to say his pledge is to the American People first, not some political party.

He shouldn’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ Just tell them he will think about it... and let them wait... and wait.

The GOPe is always going to drive the GOP. That can’t be changed. Ronald Reagan suspended SOME of their influence for a very brief 8 years. But as soon as he was gone it was back to business as usual with Poppy Bush and it’s been downhill ever since.

The ‘pledge’ has been sent out to at least one candidate:

Norah O’Donnell @NorahODonnell

“We have received it; I haven’t signed it” - @RandPaul on RNC’s #GOP pledge @CBSThisMorning”

I see no benefit to Trump from signing it and some negative results if he does.

The fact that Reince is running to Trump is revealing: Who stands to benefit from Trump signing?

The selfish little grabbers are going to find that this could backfire big-time, just like everything else they have said and done. Big-time.

He’s got to do something by the end of the month, or he gets excluded from the SC primary.

I would love to see him extract a fairness pledge from the RNC in exchange though.
