Drug dealing, pretty sure it was his first offense, and he gets life in prison? Meanwhile, HSBC just payed a $1.1 Billion fine for drug money laundering (same thing this guys was doing), but no prosecution.

It's hard not to be very cynical and think his main crime was cutting in on the big-boys monopoly on the trade.

He hired a hitman too but yeah they threw the book at him. Silkroad is shut down but the drugs are still available via other hidden services on the TOR network.
