The president of Bucknell University is urging students and staffers to do some soul-searching after someone left a racist message on a professor’s classroom door.
This is the second racial incident on campus in the past six months.
Students at Bucknell University in Lewisburg have been on campus for less than a week.
They’re just getting the news that a message described as racist and hateful was left on the whiteboard of professor’s office door.
But who did it?
“They do their things in secret so they don’t want to be known,” said student Alex Bloschichak.
“It’s so really hateful and I haven’t met anyone like that, that I know of,” student Nathan Ortiz said.
The news comes six months after the university kicked out three students for comments broadcast on the school’s radio station.
Those students used racial slurs and suggested African-Americans should be killed.
Bucknell Communications Director Andy Hirsch says this week’s incident will only intensify the university’s efforts to promote diversity and to take on intolerance.
“What we really want for all the members of our community is a safe and welcoming environment and this is counter to everything we’re working towards on that front,” Hirsch said.
University officials do not know right now who is responsible for that racist message. Several students say they hope the punishment is severe, if it’s a fellow student.
“Some sort of suspension, anything along those lines,” Ortiz said.
“Depending on the severity of the language, I hope they would get expelled if it was bad,” said Bloschichak.
Bloschichak is a freshman and says the school’s orientation included intense discussions of the value of tolerance and diversity.
Many are concerned that the actions of very few threaten the reputation of an entire campus.
But who did it? The professor himself if history is any guide.

I love in same small town as Bucknell. The students just came back last weekend so there had been little chance for someone to get upset enough to do it. Besides must of the kids are liberal should full of mush. It it’s central pa and they show up with daddy’s BMW and Amex card with an enormous sense of entitlement. My money is on the prof.
White people don't do this stuff on a University, but black people really want to be victims of this.
History shows us time and again that this has been the pattern.

Who “found” it? That’s the most likely perp.
Wouldn’t take that bet if it was 500 dollars.
Well, in fairness to Bucknell, that incident has nothing to do with them and isn’t local, so why would they issue a statement?
If not the professor, than it will turn out to be some other minority activist trying to make themselves relevant in a world that wishes they would stop bothering people.
I call Hoax.
I could not find a copy of the racist note. Don’t nobody where it is at?
