A friend of mine is a cop and he was telling me before cops or the FBI are given their guns they have to go through psyche evaluations besides a million other tests, but what is wrong with doing that for the average citizen? Practically all these mass shooters had a long history of mental illness and NO criminal record. Like that guy who did the Virginia tech massacre, all they had to do was give him a psyche eval and saw he was completely out of his mine, or even call up his family who would who have said “Hell NO do NOT sell him a gun” because he was in and out of institutions his entire life since he was a kid for extremely violent behavior. Same with James Holmes, call up his shrink or his family, or do a psyche test on him. It would have been clear the dude was delusional. Same with this guy, do a psyche evaluation on him, the shrink would have seen he has an extreme hang up on race, no gun for him. But I bet anything liberals would be AGAINST a psyche evaluation. Why? Because they WANT these nuts to go on shooting rampages so they have more of a reason to repeal the 2nd amendment. Eventime something like this happens, the same day they are calling for gun bans like Hitlery and Obama did.

I disagree. Liberals would be all for psyche evals. I don’t want some liberal giving me a psychiatric evaluation. They already want to take guns away from all veterans. They must have PSTD. They want to take them away from seniors too. They must be senile. They will then come for everyone in the Tea Party. Why that’s a racist party. Then they come after the pro-life people. They already said those with anti-abortion stickers on their cars may be terrorists.
No I don’t want some mentally deranged liberal giving me a psyche test. We already have laws on the book that a psychiatric patient can not own a gun. They just need to enforce it.
The latest killer was not a felon, was not crazy, was an Obama supporter and homosexual prostitute. Those are not covered. But it’s hard to make a law that covers pure evil.
Are you certain this is what you are espousing? In order to exercise a Constitutionally protected right, you suggest every citizen (and now every illegal alien) undergo a psych eval?

The danger of psyche tests is that they would be easily manipulated to deny rights to sane people.
Because the constitution does not say I have to be evaluated to exercise my right.
That is EXACTLY what the Govt would LOVE to be able to do, all of a sudden, no one is sane enough to own or carry. No one, except Govt ‘agencies’.
Libs would call a psychological evaluation a form of “profiling”.
I believe they lick their chops every time one of these tragedies happens.
