Favorite story from those days: Koufax pitches a no hitter in Philly. Drysdale takes early train to NYC where he is pitching the next day. He gets off the train:
Reporter: Don! Did you hear? Koufax pitched a no hitter!
Big D (deadpans): Did he win?

I was at that no hitter game at Philly. Only a walk to Johnny Callison spoiled a perfect game. I was amazed to see Philly fans rooting him on.

I remember watching Drysdale on one of the Brady Bunch TV shows. Although I did not think he was good as Koufax, I would have had him on my team anytime!
