It makes it difficult to post an original comment regarding the article. The poor guy who posted #2 is going to be getting a lot of unexpected pings.
It would be nice if you could still reply to the original post. But you can also reply to post 2, replacing that poster’s name with the thread poster’s name, as opposed to sending that unfortunate soul all the replies.
