A Denton County couple is on a mission to bring their beloved pet back home, but Goose isn't the average house pet.
He's an 8-month-old pig who recently got out of his backyard in Hickory Creek and wound up at animal control.
His owners went to pick him up but say they couldn't take him home because an ordinance doesn't allow pigs in the city.
The couple now plans to go before city council to request a change in the ordinance so they can bring Goose home.
"We miss him, our animals miss him, our neighbors miss him. We just want him home," said owner Danielle Abbott.
Goose is now out of the shelter, and his family says he will stay at a foster home until they can sort things out.

Goose is one of those extraordinary hogs with wooden legs?
“A great hog like this one is too good to eat all at once.”?
If a pet isn’t 300 lb and vicious should cities decide dogs are OK and pigs aren’t? If a pet is a reasonable size and social, live and let live.
Why are goats and pigs haram, while dogs are halal? Just joking with the language, but it seems a bit silly to ban some animals and allow others.
