We've all heard the phrase: 'You don't have to be mad to work here, but it helps'.
But when the company in question was handling the Secretary of State's personal emails, the joke doesn't sound quite so funny.
These are the IT firm staff who work at the firm which managed Hillary Clinton's private server - posing as characters from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Platte River Networks employees dressed up like mentally-ill prison inmates in the film of the novel while appearing at a conference and put the pictures on their company Facebook page.
The photos were taken at the end of last month just a week before the firm was publicly identified as having maintained Mrs Clinton's server while she was Secretary of State for four years - and days before they handed the server to the FBI.
The row is dogging Mrs Clinton's run for the Presidency and at a press conference this week she struggled to answer basic questions about the emails.
Mrs Clinton's spokesman now claims that the emails were not classified at the time she sent them but were later marked so.
The pictures of the Platte River staff were a homage to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the 1975 film of author Ken Kesey's book about a mental institution
The movie starred Jack Nicholson in the lead role as Randle McMurphy who is worn down by the brutal regime inside the hospital.
One of the pictures of Platte River staff shows a male employee in his 30s wearing a dressing gown, headphones and a sleepy expression on his face.

Ken Kesey was a very intelligent man. Though I did not agree with his views and lifestyle I have appreciated his intelligence.
These server-folks seem to be idiotic.
Totally idiotic.
Where does the most transparent administration EVER stand on this issue. Are they conveniently covering it all up. We need some account ability.,.. An ability to COUNT< and there are a FEW HUNDRED emails missing, the National Archives should be hammering someone right now.
You’d have to be nuts to work for Hillary!
If you like Kesey you should read his book “Sometime a Great Notion”. It is considered a better written book than “Cuckoo’s Nest”. It is about a family owned logging concern in Oregon going up against a union town on strike. It was made into a movie, later titled “Never Give an Inch”, starring Henry Fonda and Paul Newman.
Thanks, I did read the book.
Met Ken Kesey, he was quite intelligent. Piercingly so.
Went to college with one of his sons. Visited the family farm several times.
Appreciate the reply.
Thanks!
You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train...
LOL
If it ain’t broke we’ll fix that.
They maintained the server for four years and never backed it up? Never wondered about the security requirements on what they were supporting?
I know they are Democrat hacks, but still...
I saw the movie and it was great. Guys are such wimps these days compared to that logging crew. That movie is 40 years old. The Oregon logging industry is minuscule compared to back then.
Sometime a Great Notion was the movie original name but then it was changed
I read Sometimes a Great Notion in the early seventies. One of my favorite books. First saw “One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest” in a theater when it first came out. Two brilliant works by Kesey who didn’t then do much more. Minor note, if I’m remembering correctly he was an Oregon State champion wrestler. Randall McMurphy is my hero.
I said ‘be’ not ‘have,’ you nutter!
