Writing in The Washington Post, Wadhwa explains that he recently installed Windows 10 onto his MacBook and found it to be a night-and-day difference from Windows 8.“I had thought I would never install a Microsoft operating system ever again after my experience with Windows 8,” he writes. “But [Windows 10] has been an incredibly positive experience… The best part is Windows 10 itself: it is a beautifully designed operating system that gives me the best of the past and present — maintaining the usability and familiarity of the old Windows operating system.”

This guy did not have enough IQ to install a third party start button on Windows 8. Such as classic shell http://classicshell.net/ or this one http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/

I got a good deal on a hardly used windows 8 box. I hated it. It was one of those all in one boxes. The "computer" was built into the monitor. I really did not like that at all. Plus the OS, Windows 8, sucked. So after two days of use I sold it and got my money back. I just recently bought another desk top, but I had to buy a refurbished Dell to avoid Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Sadly my old friend of many years running Vista died. I might look into rebuilding him as a Linux box. I'm not a hardware guy but I thing a new CPU and a "new" hard drive could bring him back to life. He was a Dell C521.

I personally use the Classic start SHELL myself and set up my machine to resemble their earlier more familiar windows environments.

My first major complaint about WIN 10 is that the got rid of the Windows Media Center. There are workarounds which I have such as Snapstream’s Beyond TV and XBMC/KODI, but everyone in the family is more familiar with WMC.
