The misery I suffered with my sprained ankle was exacerbated by 9 hours of teaching difficult children, topped off by being stung by a venomous insect.
I am now waiting to see if i need to go either to the ER or just stay on FR.

Your situation would not be exacerbated if you had a smartphone to surf FR while at the ER.
