Lots of pics. In my opinion the best cars were built between 1965 and 1970.

A couple friends and I will have dinner early evening tomorrow at Sign of the Beef Carver in Royal Oak. Free parking for customers and it’s right on Woodward.

So what is the “Woodward Dream Cruise” all about? Is it a race? A car show where people are looking to display or sell their cars? Do they drive down the whole length of Woodward Ave.?

Cragars were the thing back in the day.

I had some on my 73 Montego but they were too much hassle so I traded them for some aluminum mags.

Yeah, you didn’t want to leave them on in the winter. If you got new tires whoever mounted them needed to know what they were doing etc. Just an all around hassle.

The aluminum wheels I got were simple. They didn’t rust and if you had oxidation you could take an SOS pad to it and make it go away etc.

The coolest, definitely. The best? Definitely not.

Like a boat, the two happiest days in a Cragar owners life are the day he buys them and the day he sells them.

Thanks.
Matt 6:19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

I’m thinking mebbe Matthew had Cragars on his chariot. I’ll pass on them/

So what is the “Woodward Dream Cruise” all about?

It's a car cruise comprised of classic car owners.......

Is it a race?

NO

A car show where people are looking to display or sell their cars?

Yes and no, the participants are there to display their cars but many are available for sale........

Do they drive down the whole length of Woodward Ave.?

Some do, some don't but the entire route is now approx. 27 miles from Detroit's 8 mile road to Pontiac........
