Tom Brady had his first day in a real courtroom with Roger Goodell today, and the NFL was basically facialized by Judge Richard Berman. To say it was a complete disaster for Goodell would be the understatement of the century. It was the beginning of the end for the NFL and their arbitrary, inhumane, illogical system of punishments. And the best part is that this was the judge that the NFL handpicked. Even with the deck stacked in their favor, Goodell’s witch hunt blew up in their face. ...
First Berman got the NFL’s lawyer, Daniel Nash on the stand and basically called laughed in his face when he tried to say that Ted Wells could POSSIBLY be considered an “independent investigator” since the NFL hired him specifically to come back with a finding that incriminated Tom Brady...
Then Judge Berman laughed at the Wells Report because, ya know, there was no actual evidence in there that Brady had ANYTHING to do with tampering with the game balls in the AFC Championship...

You need to adjust your sights. The only reason Goodell is doing this is political correctness. He’s been hammered for “only black football players are punished” and was looking for anything he could do to prove he’s politically correct...

And then he’s all king like and self-righteous when there are problems. Same reactionary position with the conduct policy when things go wrong.

Patriots are so scared they will have the second team in by the 3rd quarter after they hang 50 on them.
While it is true the Judge made the NFL look foolish when he asked what hard evidence they had on Brady, he went on to make Brady look equally foolish for destroying his phone, not cooperating, etc. He made both parties look foolish for not calling the two guys who know what happened as witnesses during the appeal process.
In short, he is trying to get the parties to settle this on their own.
