Totally agree. If deBlasio wants to ‘do good’ for the dispossessed in the world, then he should resign as mayor and do what many others do - go to a third world country and donate his time.

This is all about giving these “non 2nd class citizens” the vote.
So what does it matter if urban centers that are already in the bag for the Democrat party add a few million more leftist voters? It will matter a great deal if the National Popular Vote initiative succeeds. I suspect that’s going to magically come together right before the 2016 election.
The Progressive Left has no intention of surrendering the executive branch.

Upstate has been fuming for decades because of that financial black hole called NYC. At times they’ve even tried to split NY into two - Upstate NY State and NYC/Long Island.
It never goes anywhere. So as a result, the productive ones go south, leaving even upstate one big welfare state to boot.
